Every engineer at Personify Health touches the developer platform—on day one and every day after. This role defines what that experience feels like, from spinning up a service to running production systems with confidence. When the platform works, engineers move faster, ship safer, and stay focused on building technology that improves real health outcomes for millions of members.

• Own the developer platform: Run the internal developer platform as a product with a clear roadmap, backlog, and success metrics—applying real product discipline, not “internal tool” shortcuts.
• Set measurable outcomes: Define OKRs and KPIs for platform capabilities, track adoption and impact, and use data to decide what gets built next and what gets cut.
• Study real workflows: Interview engineers across teams to uncover friction in their daily work, including pain points they’ve normalized, and turn those insights into focused platform bets.
• Improve the full SDLC: Reduce friction across service creation, local development, testing, CI/CD, deployment, and operations by making self-service the default and removing recurring toil.
• Establish standards and guardrails: Introduce shared workflows, patterns, and reusable solutions that raise quality, security, and reliability without blocking team autonomy.
• Make platform tradeoffs: Decide when to build versus buy, when to standardize versus allow flexibility, and how to sequence improvements for maximum leverage at scale.
• Lead the platform team: Set direction, grow engineers, and build a culture of ownership where the team treats other engineers as real users—not internal afterthoughts.
• Align engineering leaders: Partner with engineering, architecture, and product leadership to align priorities, communicate progress, and show clear impact.

• 7+ years as a hands-on software engineer building systems at scale
• 2+ years leading engineering teams with demonstrable outcomes
• Direct experience building or leading teams responsible for developer tools, internal platforms, or engineering productivity systems

Technical Skills

• Experience with distributed systems, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and internal tooling
• Defining and running OKRs and KPIs for internal platforms, including adoption and satisfaction tracking
• Familiarity with developer experience measurement frameworks such as SPACE or DORA
• Background in platform engineering, SRE, or tooling-focused infrastructure work
