Responsibilities

   

The Senior Manager, DevOps ensures our SaaS products are fast, stable, and optimized for our members. At Personify Health, DevOps focuses on developer efficiency while safeguarding non-functional requirements. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background in cloud technologies, DevOps patterns and tools, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering quality solutions.

 

What You'll Actually Do:

  • Maintain and evolve Personify Health’s cloud infrastructure with a focus on security, scalability, cost optimization, and automation.
  • Build strong relationships with engineering team members to uphold quality expectations.
  • Manage DevOps teams across multiple regions, driving strategic improvements and scalable processes.
  • Align engineering initiatives with organizational goals and business OKR priorities.
  • Evangelize DevOps best practices, eliminate bottlenecks, and improve processes.
  • Support and evolve CI/CD pipelines aligned with branching and QA strategies.
  • Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform to provision and maintain cloud resources.
  • Continuously improve existing infrastructure, tools, and automation frameworks.
  • Balance sprint goals across multiple teams, anticipating dependencies and resource needs.
  • Deliver project milestones and tasks on schedule while maintaining regular communication.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and apply lessons learned to improve team performance and maintain accountability.
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging tools, technologies, and strategies; evaluate, prototype, and integrate them into work processes.

  

 

Qualifications

What You Bring to Our Mission

 

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Three years of experience in managing engineering teams
  • Proven technical aptitude with a strong record of executing complex infrastructure technology projects along with day-to-day technical operations
  • Track record of driving DevOps patterns and practices, infrastructure-as-code, and Agile software development practices
  • Demonstrated ability in building high-performing teams, including the recruitment process, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of new DevOps engineers.
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels of business partners and the ability to translate technical topics for any audience
  • Practical hands-on experience with Terraform, Git, CI/CD creation and support.
  • Practical hands-on experience with Python, Bash, or similar modern scripting languages.
  • Practical hands-on experience with AWS, including infrastructure management, security, and networking.
  • Experience working in production environments focusing on performance, availability, and scalability of web services with log management and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, YAML, Linux, and Windows technologies.
  • Experience with Azure or GCP cloud platforms is a plus.
  • Prior experience in healthcare or other highly regulated industries preferred.

In compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $140,000 to $185,000. Note that compensation may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for 10% target bonus/variable compensation as well as health, dental, vision, mental health and other benefits.
