Who are you?

The Custom Communications team at Personify Health is seeking a meticulous, detail-oriented Proofreader/Editor to ensure the accuracy and consistency of our print and digital member communications. In this role, you’ll review final drafts for errors in spelling, punctuation, grammar and word usage—helping ensure our members receive clear, polished and effective messaging. You’ll collaborate closely with the Creative Team as well as the greater Custom Communications team and Digital Comms to uphold brand standards and deliver high-quality content that supports our mission to improve member wellbeing.

In this role you will wear many hats, but your knowledge will be essential in the following:  

• Review and edit a high volume of digital and print communications created by the Personify Health custom communications team, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with brand voice and tone.
• Apply expert-level knowledge of grammar, punctuation, spelling and syntax using established style guides to correct errors and maintain consistency across assets.
• Ensure content accuracy and readability, balancing attention to micro-level details with a holistic understanding of the message, audience and strategic intent.
• Collaborate with writers, designers, and project managers to clarify messaging, resolve ambiguities, and enhance overall quality and effectiveness of communications.
• Conduct fact-checking and verify source accuracy when applicable, especially for health-related or compliance-sensitive content.
• Provide occasional writing and substantive copyediting support including rewriting or restructuring content to improve flow, tone and engagement.
• Maintain version control and track editorial changes, ensuring transparency and alignment across stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of editorial processes, tools and best practices to support team efficiency and quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including participation in team meetings, training sessions and cross-functional initiatives.

What you bring to the Personify Health Team:

In order to represent the best of what we have to offer you come to us with a multitude of positive attributes including:

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in English, journalism, communications or related field, or equivalent experience
• 1-2 years experience copyediting or proofreading
• Coursework or training in grammar, editing or publishing is a plus
