The DevOps Engineer II ensures our SaaS products are fast, stable, and optimized for our members. At Personify Health, DevOps focuses on developer efficiency while safeguarding non-functional requirements. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background in cloud technologies, DevOps patterns and tools, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering quality solutions.

 

In this role you will wear many hats, but your knowledge will be essential in the following:  

  • Manage cross-functional requirements while working with and supporting engineering, product, and security teams across multiple platforms.
  • Support continuous integration and deployment pipelines (CI/CD) aligned with branching and quality assurance strategies.
  • Support continuous improvement of existing infrastructure, tools, and processes.
  • Maintain and evolve Personify Health’s cloud computing infrastructure, focusing on cloud security, scaling, cost optimization, and automation.
  • Use infrastructure as code (IaC) to provision and maintain cloud resources with Terraform
  • Develop and improve operational practices and procedures with runbooks.
  • Collaborate with developers to bring new features and services into production.
  • Work with team members and independently to deliver on project milestones and tasks on schedule while communicating progress regularly.
  • Build strong relationships with engineering team members to hold one another accountable for quality expectations.
  • Learn continuously and apply the lessons learned.
  • Evangelize best practices, eliminate bottlenecks, and improve processes.
  • Dive deep into technology and stay at the forefront of the latest tools, technologies, and strategies; help evaluate, prototype, and integrate them into work processes.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Three years of experience in Enterprise DevOps or Software Development

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal and team skills.
  • Practical hands-on experience with Terraform, Git, CI/CD creation and support.
  • Practical hands-on experience with Python, Bash, or similar modern scripting languages.
  • Practical hands-on experience working with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Practical hands-on experience with AWS, including infrastructure management, security, and networking.
  • Experience working in production environments focusing on performance, availability, and scalability of web services with log management and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, YAML, Linux, and Windows technologies.
  • Experience with Azure or GCP cloud platforms is a big plus.
  • Prior experience in healthcare or other highly regulated industries preferred.
  • Strong English language communication (written and verbal)
