We're seeking a strategic legal leader who can seamlessly blend employment law expertise with litigation management. As our VP of Employment and Litigation, you'll serve as both trusted advisor and hands-on problem solver, ensuring Personify Health operates with legal excellence while fostering a compliant, supportive workplace culture.

✓ Cross-functional partnership: Collaborate closely with HR, business stakeholders, and legal team members on complex matters

What You'll Actually Do

Provide strategic counsel: Partner with HR professionals and business stakeholders as trusted legal advisor on multi-jurisdictional employment laws, including wage/hour compliance, accommodations, discrimination, and retaliation matters.

Stay ahead of changes: Advise on emerging legislative and regulatory changes affecting employment obligations while reviewing and revising policies for multi-jurisdictional compliance.

Lead training initiatives: Develop and deliver proactive training to business leaders on employment law matters that prevent issues and promote understanding.

Manage litigation: Provide legal representation and supervise outside counsel for employment litigation, government investigations, and administrative agency matters while managing commercial disputes.

Handle complex negotiations: Draft and negotiate employment-related documents including separation agreements and restrictive covenant agreements.

Support business operations: Partner with HR on internal investigations, compensation matters, ERISA issues, and immigration concerns while responding to customer complaints and disputes.

What You Bring to Our Mission

The legal foundation:

• JD from accredited school with strong academic credentials
• Minimum 10 years' employment law experience, in-house and/or with national/regional law firm
• Experience as litigator at national or regional law firm preferred
• Active license to practice law in at least one state

The strategic expertise:

• Significant experience identifying employment law risks and formulating mitigation strategies
• Thorough experience in commercial and litigation matters with outside counsel management experience
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and develop practical solutions

The leadership qualities:

• Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision and assume significant responsibility
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with fast-paced multitasking abilities
• Strong problem-solving capabilities for managing multiple issues across various business locations

In compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $215,000 to $230,000. Note that compensation may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for 20% target bonus/variable compensation as well as health, dental, vision, mental health and other benefits.
