Who are you?

 

As the Vice President of Global Sales Enablement, Proposal & Content Management,  you will be responsible for overseeing the strategy, leadership, and execution of critical functions within the organization that drive global commercial success. This executive role will ensure that the global sales teams are empowered with the right tools, content, and processes to drive revenue growth, while also ensuring that proposals and content management are optimized across regions. You will also oversee the planning and execution of high-impact events that enhance customer engagement and support business development efforts. 

This role encompasses a global scope, collaborating with regional and functional leaders to optimize sales enablement, content, proposal management, and event management. Your ability to align these functions across markets while ensuring scalability and efficiency will be critical to driving performance and delivering measurable results

In this role you will wear many hats, but your knowledge will be essential in the following:  

  • Leadership and Strategic Vision 
    • Lead and oversee the global sales enablement strategy, ensuring consistent delivery of training, tools, and content that empower the global commercial teams to meet and exceed sales targets 
    • Define and execute the content strategy for sales teams, ensuring that high-quality, tailored, and relevant content is available for different market segments (wellbeing, third party administration and navigation /advocacy) 
    • Drive the global proposal management strategy and administration, ensuring the effective end-to-end proposal process, content creation, and delivery across all regions including leveraging global talent to optimize service & scale 
    • Collaborate with business leadership to align global sales enablement and proposal management strategies with company-wide growth objectives, driving revenue through optimized content and proposal processes 
    • Foster a cross org enablement ecosystem, ensuring alignment across functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Client Success, Operations, Product, Member Services, Legal, Finance)
  • Global Sales Enablement and Content Management 
    • Oversee the global commercial enablement function, ensuring the design, execution, and continuous improvement of programs that support the development of Go to Market teams, enhance their productivity, and increase commercial performance 
    • Lead the development of global content across all sales enablement touchpoints (training, playbooks, proposal content, presentations, etc.) and ensure content is relevant, region-specific, and aligned with customer needs 
    • Drive the adoption of technology platforms that support sales enablement, content management, and proposal automation, ensuring global scalability and efficiency 
    • Partner with Product, Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure that the global commercial teams have access to the latest product information, market insights, and customer-facing collateral to win deals 
    • Establish and track the performance metrics for sales content and enablement effectiveness, ensuring content usage and engagement align with business goals and sales outcomes
  • Proposal & Content Management  
    • Direct and manage the global proposal management function, ensuring the creation, customization, and submission of winning proposals for all market segments 
    • Ensure that proposal processes are standardized globally, while also maintaining flexibility to address regional market needs and requirements 
    • Drive the use of proposal management technology, enabling automation and streamlining of the RFP/RFI/proposal lifecycle across markets, improving efficiency, consistency, and quality 
    • Ensure global compliance with all internal policies, legal requirements, and customer-specific terms, while also ensuring proposals are aligned with sales strategies and the organization’s value proposition 
    • Oversee the creation and management of a centralized content repository, ensuring proposals have access to high-quality, up-to-date, and regionally relevant content that accelerates the proposal process 
    • Establish and track global performance metrics for proposal management (e.g., proposal win rates, turnaround time, proposal quality), driving continuous improvement in both processes and outcomes
  • Event Management Strategy 
    • Define and implement the event strategy, ensuring that large-scale commercial events, such as Commercial Kick-Offs, Chairmans Circle, and annual conferences, are tailored to market and business needs 
    • Lead the execution of major commercial events, ensuring that they are strategically aligned with the sales goals, customer engagement priorities, and business development objectives 
    • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure consistency in messaging and branding at commercial events 
    • Ensure event logistics and experience meet the highest standards of execution, driving value for both internal stakeholders and customers
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration and Communication 
    • Act as the liaison between business units and key GTM partners Product, Client Success, Marketing, Operations Legal, Finance, and IT to ensure alignment on strategic priorities and resource allocation
    • Collaborate with commercial leaders to ensure that enablement programs, trainings, content, and proposals effectively localized meet the unique needs of each market 
    • Lead efforts to centralize and share knowledge across regions, ensuring that lessons learned, best practices, and content are shared globally, while also fostering collaboration across teams 
    • Provide leadership in facilitating cross-functional workshops and training sessions, enabling better collaboration between sales, product, marketing, and other teams on key initiatives
  • Business Transformation and Continuous Improvement 
    • Lead business transformation efforts across enablement, content management, and proposal processes to ensure scalability, efficiency, and alignment with evolving business goals 
    • Drive process optimization initiatives that improve the sales process, reduce time to proposal, enhance content quality, and maximize the impact of sales enablement activities 
    • Stay ahead of industry trends in sales enablement, content management, and proposal automation, identifying opportunities to integrate new tools, technologies, and methodologies that drive innovation and operational excellence 
    • Conduct regular business and process audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure the sales enablement and proposal management processes are continuously evolving
  • Leadership and Talent Development 
    • Lead, mentor, and coach a global team of sales enablement managers, proposal managers, content strategists, and event planners, ensuring high performance and alignment with strategic business goals 
    • Champion talent development across global teams, ensuring the hiring, training, and career progression of team members, while cultivating a culture of excellence and accountability 
    • Build and maintain a high-performance culture that drives innovation, continuous learning, and collaboration across regions and departments
  • Executive Reporting and Stakeholder Management 
    • Report regularly to the Commercial Leadership & GMs on global sales enablement, content management, and proposal management initiatives, providing insights on performance, key metrics, and outcomes
  • Financial and Resource Management 
    • Own and manage the global budget for sales enablement, proposal management, and event management, ensuring effective allocation of resources and alignment with business priorities 
    • Evaluate and oversee vendor partnerships and external resources to ensure cost-effectiveness and maximum value in content creation, proposal automation, and event management

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in senior leadership roles within sales enablement, proposal management, or related functions, with a proven ability to transform and scale operations  
  • Strong expertise in global content management, sales enablement technology, and proposal management processes, with experience implementing advanced technology solutions to drive operational excellence 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop global strategies, build cross-functional teams, and execute complex initiatives across regions 
  • Deep understanding of global market dynamics, with the ability to tailor sales enablement and proposal management processes to meet the unique needs of different regions 
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing teams, managing large-scale events, and driving business transformation in fast-paced, high-growth environments 
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior leadership, clients, and cross-functional teams 
  • Financial acumen with experience managing large, complex budgets and driving cost-effective solutions

In compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $200,000 to $230,000. Note that compensation may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for 40%+ target bonus/variable compensation as well as health, dental, vision, mental health and other benefits.
