Responsibilities

Who are you?

A Lead Data Analyst performs quality and testing activities within the data engineering team and provide mentorship, guidance, onboarding, and training of QA Analysts. You will work closely with account management, ETL, data warehouse, business intelligence, and reporting teams as you develop QA methodologies, tools, and test cases. Additionally, you will help investigate and troubleshoot data quality issues, with an eye toward future prevention. You have a deep understanding of data structures, and data pipelines.

In this role you will wear many hats, but your knowledge will be essential in the following:

  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and implementation of QA testing plans, methodologies, toolsets and mindsets.
  • Understand testing and quality goals by translating requirements from internal business partners and client goals.
  • Report and triage defects and incidents. Understand and participate in RCA reporting and socialize ‘lessons learned’ and best practices within the QA and engineering teams.
  • Perform ad-hoc and automated QA tasks.
  • Participate in, and contribute to planning for any data processing pipeline enhancements
  • Help monitor, maintain, and improve errors of our data pipelines.
  • Communicate with and educate other non-data teams to ensure clear communication and a proactive approach toward accurate translation of client requirements into the corresponding data transformations.
  • Create and maintain documentation of QA processes, tools, and environments.
  • Supervisory responsibilities for 1-3 individuals.

You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
